Layer Opacity Settings
Opacity determines the transparency level of an element. Lowering opacity allows background layers to show through, creating depth, overlays, and blending effects.
Opacity is just a fancy term for transparency. 100% opacity is solid; 0% is invisible. We use this a lot for overlays. For example, putting a black box at 50% opacity over a photo makes the photo darker so we can put readable white text on top of it. It’s also used for "disabled" states—like a grayed-out button that shows you can't click it yet.
