Applying Texture Effects
Texture refers to the surface quality of a design, whether tactile (on paper) or visual (on screens). It adds depth, warmth, and realism to flat elements.
In the digital world, everything is naturally made of smooth, flat pixels. Texture is how we add "humanity" back in. We might use a subtle paper grain on a background or a "noise" effect on a gradient.
It stops the design from feeling sterile and clinical. It adds a bit of grip for your eyes, making the elements feel tangible, like you could reach out and touch them. However, we use it sparingly—too much texture can make a website look dirty or low-resolution.
